Tracklyst Connect is a free menu bar app for Mac. Bounce from Pro Tools or Logic, or right-click a folder in Finder — Tracklyst is already scanning it before you've switched windows.
What it does
Create Tracklyst Playlist
Right-click any folder or a selection of audio files in Finder → name the project → it's copied into your Tracklyst folder and your browser opens straight to the creator screen, already scanning.
Add to Tracklyst
Already have a playlist going? Right-click new bounces and drop them straight into that same project's folder — no dragging between Finder windows.
Session-aware
Lives quietly in your menu bar and recognizes when Pro Tools or Logic has an open session, so it knows where a bounce is coming from.
No separate upload step
There's nothing to export or upload by hand — the file lands in your Dropbox folder, and Dropbox's own sync does the rest.
How it works
Connect never touches your Dropbox account or holds any credentials. It only copies local files into the folder you choose and opens a browser tab — your already-signed-in Tracklyst session (Dropbox or a compatible cloud provider) does the actual work from there.
That also means the files themselves move exactly like any other Dropbox sync: through Dropbox's own client, at Dropbox's own speed.
Setup (one time)
Install
Open the downloaded .dmg and drag Tracklyst Connect into Applications, same as any Mac app.
Set your Projects Root
Open Tracklyst Connect's Preferences and choose a Tracklyst Projects Root — a folder inside your Dropbox where new projects should be created. Do this once.
Turn on the Finder services
macOS hides new Finder services until you enable them once: System Settings → Keyboard → Keyboard Shortcuts → Services, then check Create Tracklyst Playlist and Add to Tracklyst.
Use it from Finder
Right-click a folder or a selection of audio files → Services → pick one. That's it — no separate app window to babysit.
Requirements
- macOS only — there's no Windows version yet.
- A Dropbox-connected Tracklyst account. OneDrive isn't supported by Connect yet.
- Works alongside any DAW, though session auto-detection is tuned for Pro Tools and Logic.
